Three counties, one city
Carrollton sits in three counties: Dallas, Denton and Collin. That matters because where a lawsuit is filed decides which courthouse hears it, which jurors are called, and how quickly the case moves.

Carrollton sits in three counties: Dallas, Denton and Collin. That matters because where a lawsuit is filed decides which courthouse hears it, which jurors are called, and how quickly the case moves.
Texas generally allows a suit to be filed in the county where all or a substantial part of the events happened, or in the county where the defendant lived when the claim arose.
So a crash near I-35E on the Denton County side, where the at-fault driver lives in Dallas County, could often be filed in either county.
When a company is the defendant, its principal office in Texas can also matter.

the Collin County Courthouse, 2100 Bloomdale Road, McKinney.
Trial ready
Carrollton spans Dallas, Denton and Collin counties. Nolan chooses the right courthouse for each case and prepares it for trial from the start.
Truck crashes around the I-35E and George Bush Turnpike interchange call for that preparation. Trucking companies have rapid-response teams, and the evidence that proves a driver broke federal hour limits must be preserved before it is overwritten.

Carrollton crosses county lines. Nolan considers where the incident happened, the parties involved and the claim before explaining which court may be appropriate.
A truck crash may involve more than the driver. Nolan reviews company information and available records to identify the parties and policies that matter.
Driver logs, telematics and dash camera recordings can answer different questions. Nolan seeks relevant carrier records instead of relying only on an insurer's summary.
Nolan obtains the crash report through the investigating agency or TxDOT and considers it alongside the vehicle, cargo and witness information available.
Carrollton visitors can discuss car crashes, warehouse or forklift injuries and wrongful death. Nolan reviews the circumstances before explaining the available next steps.

The same steps apply as on any road: check for injuries, call 911, move to safety if you can, and get the other driver's information. Note the nearest exit or mile marker and your direction of travel, which helps locate the report and any video.
For property-carrying drivers covered by federal hours-of-service rules, the usual limits are 11 hours of driving after 10 consecutive hours off duty, within a 14-hour driving window; exceptions can apply.
